During COVID, all UP Students are eligible for Distance Learning services.
The Library will ship library books and other returnables to your home. Library staff will also copy and email articles available from the library's print library collection. Use Interlibrary Loan to request materials that are not available from the library's print and electronic collections.
Interlibrary Loan is a library-to-library lending service. If the Providence Library does not have an item that you need for your research, the library can borrow it for you from another library. Returnable items usually arrive in less then 5 days, but it's best to allow at least 10 days. The lending library may send books via UPS, Fed-EX or USPS. Articles are usually sent via e-mail..
Fill out the Interlibrary Loan Book Request form to order a book that isn't available at the University of Providence Library. Your book will usually arrive within 5-10 days. The checkout period is determined by the lending library and is usually 3-4 weeks. Out of state students should contact their local library to borrow books and other returnable materials.
The spring semester is being offered through face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction, with adaptations and mitigation protocols to reduce risk to COVID-19 exposure. The University continues to support and enforce the use of masks while inside a University facility, and continues to support physical distancing of at least 6 feet. The Library is not open to the public.
